Be Healthy To Be Wealthy
“The Undeniable Options”
The value of health in our daily living is well articulated and understood beyond reasonable doubt but the power matrix between business, health and well-being is somehow underestimated and somewhat given less attention than it truly deserves. “The Undeniable Options”The value of health in our daily living is well articulated and understood beyond reasonable doubt but the power matrix between business, health and well-being is somehow underestimated and somewhat given less attention than it truly deserves.

Blessing Mkono was 4 years ago, just another 20-year-old African Boy reeling in poverty, playing a victim to life. The future was so blur but not for too long. Graduating with a bachelor of commerce in management marketing, Boston City Campus could only quantify him. With or without them he remains qualified a natural brand and marketing strategist with a vision of the future motivated by past mayhems. He founded Mkono Holdings a company to which he is a managing director. He has now launched AfrIvy a platform for under 30 entrepreneurs seeking to illuminate the future of Africa from all corners of the world. In this short bio, past experiences and achievements will not be mentioned, the room is too small and can only hold future achievements and businesses which needs you!

In all honesty, good health is fundamental in any successful business enterprise. Some progressive business ventures invest in the health and well-being of their human capital by ploughing in huge sums of money over a prolonged period of time. Just like fixed income or variable income investments, human capital Investment vis-à-vis health is a critical component of the overall corporate strategy of modern day businesses.
Consequently, successive studies have found the positive relationship that exists between health and Return On Investment (ROI), which is a key performance indicator of any business oriented organization.
Be that as it may, it’s beyond reasonable doubt that healthy staffing translates into healthy business output and overall profits, albeit other variables are under consideration too. Meanwhile, the siamese connection between the two continue to grow in leaps and bounds. Below are some of the basic components of health as they ought to be understood:
Just like a business which comprises several departmental functions, the health of an individual comprises two major functions at the most basic level which are physical & mental health. As in business, the success of the organization is realised when all its specialized functionaries are pulling toward the same mission, vision or objective(s). Similarly, the total health of an individual is realised when one is totally free from physical or psychological disease, illness or malfunction. Just like in business, the malfunction of each one of the health functionaries results in the underperformance of the overall entity.
Now, the complex functions of business and health as individual entities is fundamental in unpacking an even complex power matrix and relationship between these two concepts. This is of utmost importance because of the following undisputable rule of existence:
There’s no business to talk about when there’s no person and there’s no person to talk about if there is no healthy person.
In short and on a microscopic and individual level, a business running today is there due credit to the one person who conceived, conceptualized and coined the idea of setting up a business. Similarly, that individual person was able to conceive a business idea thanks to a healthy mind which in turn was sitting on a physically healthy body or vice versa.
This power matrix illustrates the complex relationships that exist in the business- health ecosystem. Ultimately, the success or failure of any business enterprise can directly or indirectly be attributed to the most basic components of physical and mental health such as head or toothache, stress & depression and low levels of motivation respectively. For instance, an individual having a toothache or depression is likely to miss work or work unproductively due to ill-health. This in turn will negatively affect the business’s overall production levels.
Ultimately, investing in a business is just as important as investing in the health and wellness of the individuals working on that entity since there would be no business to talk about in the first place had the founding person(s) been physically and mentally unhealthy to conceive it.

So as the old adage goes, health people are needed to run a successful business enterprise because:
